March 16, 2007, Newsletter Issue #52: Deciding Between A Steam Room And A Steam Shower

Tip of the Week

If you want a steam room in your home, you have a few different options. One of these options is a dedicated steam room, used only for steam baths, and the other is a steam shower, which has standard shower steam bath capabilities. But which one is right for you?

When deciding between a steam room and a steam shower, ask yourself the following questions:

• How much space do I have? If your space is limited, a steam shower is probably the best option; it won't take up much more space than your current shower, so you don't need to reserve a corner of a room for a steam room
• How convenient does it need to be? You probably shower several times a week; would you use the steam shower more often, because it's more “on your mind?” Would you have to install your steam room in an out-of-the-way place, making it less convenient?
• How many people are going to use it? Steam rooms can accommodate more than one person at a time, whereas steam showers usually are made for one person.
