Sauna Weight Loss: Infrared Sauna Compared to Traditional Steam

A sauna is a sauna right? Not so fast. If you are interested in using a sauna to help control your weight then consider the benefits of using far infrared heat therapy.

Research comparing a far infrared sauna to a traditional steam sauna shows the sweat of people using a conventional sauna was found to be 95 to 97 percent water while the sweat of those using far infrared sauna therapy was 80 to 85 percent water with the non-water portion composed of cholesterol and fat-soluble toxins.

If you are interested in sauna weight loss, begin by examining the benefits of far infrared heat therapy rather than the old fashioned steam saunas. Not only does research indicate a greater percentage of cholesterol and toxins are eliminated in the sweat of users, but maintenance is minimal without the risk of mold and mildew.
